Moving a shop comes down to three things: products, customers and past orders. Here is how each one moves from Shopify or WooCommerce — and what AI Sooq does not do.
Is there a Shopify app or sync?
No. AI Sooq has no Shopify app and no live sync with Shopify. You bring your products across once, then sell on the AI Sooq storefront.
How do I move from Shopify?
- 1In Shopify, export your products as a CSV file.
- 2In AI Sooq, go to Catalog → Products → Import — the importer reads Shopify's export columns.
- 3Do a dry run first, then import, up to 500 rows per batch. The import creates new products; it does not update ones you already have.
- 4Ask the team to move your customers and past orders — that part is not self-serve.
- 5Add your own domain under Settings → Store & storefront → Domains: point an A record at the IP address shown there. The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically. There is no CNAME option.
Your store has a free subdomain from the start, so you can check everything before you point the domain.
Do I have to leave WooCommerce?
No. If you run WooCommerce, you can keep it as your shop and your stock source and add AI Sooq on top with the AI Sooq Connector plugin. It mirrors orders, abandoned carts, products (with categories, brands and collections), customers and analytics events into AI Sooq — so you get the AI inbox, couriers, COD reconciliation and the books without rebuilding your site.
The plugin also adds fraud screening at checkout, optional order-status sync back to WooCommerce, and live delivery-charge quotes. Several WordPress sites can feed one AI Sooq store.
What does the WooCommerce plugin need?
- WordPress 5.8+, PHP 7.4+ and WooCommerce 6.0+.
- The plugin and your connector credentials (client ID and secret), which the AI Sooq team provides — it is not on WordPress.org.
Setting it up:
- 1Ask the team for the plugin and your credentials.
- 2Install and activate it in WordPress.
- 3Enter the API base URL, store SID, client ID and secret.
- 4Press Test connection.
What if I want to leave WooCommerce completely?
The team helps migrate products, customers and past orders from another platform. There is no self-serve CSV import for customers or orders — the team does that part.
Can I keep a custom or headless site?
Yes. Developers can build on the Storefront API (catalog, cart, checkout and payments) and sync back-office systems through the Admin API — both REST and JSON. The team provides the API base URLs, your store SID and the API docs.
